Eco-town planning and landscape design in the shallow mountain zone behind Fragrant Hill, built around a 400-year-old royal pear orchard, Jingxi Ancient Road heritage and a 130-hectare mountain landscape facing ecological restoration, community participation and rural revitalization.

Project Introduction
Context, scope and design response
The project treats the shallow mountain area as a living ecological system. Through detailed site evaluation, the team developed six restoration strategies and a set of specific guidelines covering woodland recovery, habitat reconstruction, abandoned mine restoration, water-resource management, agricultural production and green tourism. Organic orchards, sponge-cell facilities, local wicker craft and low-impact design turn former industrial and mining traces into a phased framework for ecological, cultural and economic regeneration.
